Montpellier Primary School
Description: A new two storey building within the corner of the school grounds replacing an existing classroom building and providing 18 new classrooms, new staff and administration facilities and amenities.
Simple column and beam construction supporting the first-floor suspended concrete slab on bondeck with low cost external cladding provides the school with great value for money.
Construction is staged to work around the school as they continue to occupy the site. Upon completion of the new building the existing LTC and Admin buildings will be demolished providing a clear area to consolidate the remainder of the school’s portable buildings and allowing them to reclaim their basketball courts.
The project team are working closely with the School to minimise disruption to their day to day running and are ensuring the safety of all staff and students is the priority.
